I can safely say that I have not been to any of these festivals, but I definitely must before I hit 30. The colors in all of the pictures make everything look so INCREDIBLE. Particularly when we are experiencing and unseasonably cool and rainy August in Virginia. unfortunately, I can not say which one of these events is at the top of my list because I have absolutely no clue how to narrow down what would be by end all/be all trip. I do know that on this day, my bucket list became a little bit longer.
If ever anyone wants to know more details about a product, recipe, or a process, just let me know in the comments and I will gladly oblige. Cheers!
Rolling hillsides, starry nights, live music, and free love rained down upon me at Floyd Fest 13 this past weekend. We (myself and the bf) embarked on this 4 day journey Thursday morning and did not return until Sunday. The first night was absolutely astounding with Lauryn Hill performing to a completely crowded outdoor stage. Also, earlier that day I checked out local RVA band Mighty Joshua and the Zion #5 who killed it on the Pink Floyd Biergarden Stage. From the food vendors, to the patrons of the festival everything was an experience I hope that I remember for a lifetime. Ages ranged from toddler to elderly, all coming together to celebrate music and good energy in one place.
Now as far as wig maintenance I was certain that my wig was going to be fried by the time I left. Not only did we get a pour down the first day, there was rain in some form or another on the following two days. Had I not been in such a joyous mood this would have upset me, but I just went back to the tenet on each of these night and quite literally, tossed my hair in the corner and vowed not to let it ruin my night of stargazing. I must admit that I did braid it up after the first day, because I had a suspicion that the Futura blend hair was going to turn into a disgusting mess.
I can say with the utmost confidence that I will be returning to that event again next year and hopefully with a netter account of the music. I was just so swept in to the vibe that my phone was the farthest thing from my mind. Perhaps that was the best part of the experience, I wasn’t preoccupied with trying to document my fun that I ended up having way more than could have anticipated.
Tried to dress for the occasion. Pretty sure I gave full throttle festival realness.
Maybe Monday mornings are not the best time for yoga. I rolled out of bed and did some standing and seated forward bend poses and had to hurry my ass on to work. However, to make up for it I have been doing more reading and research so when I get up tomorow morning I will be ready to tackle this madness head on.
Poses for tomorrow:
To any hardcore yogis that come across this I am the most novice at this that one can be, but if you have any words of encoragment please feel free to pass them onnnnn.
